How can you change your character’s appearance in Cyberpunk 2077?

When Cyberpunk 2077 first released, you were completely unable to change V’s appearance once you exited the character customisation screen. Admittedly it wasn’t the biggest gripe at launch, but seriously, not even a haircut and some fresh lippy? What gives? Fortunately, with the arrival of the Version 1.5 update, you can now change some aspects of V’s appearance. Interacting with a mirror in any apartment or safehouse belonging to V allows you to make changes to their hairstyle, makeup, piercings, and other surface-level cosmetics. The update has also expanded the offering of makeup options and hair colours. It’s not the salon location that some players were hoping for, but on the plus side, you can make all these changes completely for free, meaning that V’s new unlimited makeover ability is possibly the best bargain in Night City. More importantly, though, you still can’t make more substantive changes such as altering V’s body or facial shape, gender and sexual characteristics, or voice from those you choose at the very beginning. What kind of Cyberpunk future is this? (One in which you can at least change your hairstyle at long last, is the answer.)

When will you see your character?

Given that Cyberpunk 2077 is mostly a first-person game, you won’t see your character all that often while playing. You will however see yourself every time you head into the inventory, and in photo mode. Some buildings have mirrors you can interact with, showing your character. When you head to clothing merchants you’ll also get a chance to see V’s look, helping you pick the perfect outfit. There aren’t really cutscenes in-game, so other than that, you’ll be in first-person. That’s everything you need to know about Cyberpunk 2077’s in-game character editing options.
