The four missions coming in what they call “Baron’s Challenge Mission Pack #1” are: Today’s patch also fixes a few crashes, adds support for Tobii Eye Tracking peripherals, expands renderscaling for ultrawide monitors, and adds Borderless Fullscreen mode. See the patch 1.2 notes for more. The makers are planning some more substantial additions for paid add-ons. The £12 Season Pass will cover three new missions telling a new story set after the events of the main game....

“WIP title Nine Sols, a lore rich hand-drawn 2D action platformer with Sekiro-inspired deflection-focused combat,” the devs tweeted. “Embark on a journey of Asian fantasy, explore the land once home to an ancient alien race and follow a vengeful hero’s quest to slay 9 Sols, rulers of a forsaken realm.” When I first saw that pic I mostly focused on the cute character, pretty butterfly (bird?) and lovely sunset reflected in the water there....

Take a look yourself in the tweet below. It shows a small yellow-clad character stood looking at a pool of water in a pretty room with a few water features. Then, out from the pool jumps a taller character in blue robes, and both figures draw sword and knife-like weapons before diving at each other. It’s too soon to say if it’s a horror game. I mean, it doesn’t look like it, but you never know....

Described by Brendy in his Dicey Dungeons review, Cavanagh’s latest is a charming “make-your-own-luck” dice-rolling deck-builder with some powerful Saturday morning cartoon vibes. This week’s patch doesn’t dramatically change the game, instead quietly adding some very welcome additions to the game’s dice pool. On the technical side, Update 1.8 adds gamepad support to Dicey Dungeons along with two new(ish) enemies: the Bounty Hunter and Drain Monster. I say new-ish, because both were cut at the last minute before the game’s launch last August....

First up, the serious stuff. Some Cyberpunk 2077 players are reporting crashes. For some it’s on startup, while others are having the game close after just a few minutes of playing. A few players have said that swapping out hardware like RAM has fixed their crashing, while others are still having issues even on higher performance hardware. General game performance is similarly all over the place, with reports that even changing the graphics settings from between ultra and low isn’t helping with framerate drops....

It’s fitting that Dragon Age: Inquisition should be heading up the new drops, considering a scuffle over Dragon Age 2’s DLC situation is largely why EA gave Steam the cold shoulder in the first place. As spotted by “MJuniorDC9” on Reddit, the Steam prices for a number of games have suddenly increased in quite a few regional currencies, though the percentage increase seems to vary more widely than would be explained by routine adjustments to the fluctuation of the currencies themselves. Since I’ve been playing Monster Hunter Rise, which is largely a succession of ever escalating boss fights with big lizards, I’ve begun comparing these scuffles with Elden Ring’s boss battles. And I reckon much of their differences come down to the simple health bar, or lack of it. Wander through a fog door in Elden Ring – or any Souls game – and you’ll be met with a horrible thing and its equally horrible health bar....

The patch notes list a single change: Bit vague. Thankfully, datadigger @king_bore_haha has rummaged in the gameguts to identify what that means. He says this patch has “reverted nearly all base damage reductions” and made it so mega-orbs can’t hit a second time if one directly hits you. So, he claims, the net effect compared to the original version of Radahn is that our horse-loving chum now has smaller melee hitboxes and no double-damage mega-orbs....
