Re-reckoning doesn’t look super different from Reckoning, though they say they’ve “retouched all textures” and “improved the rendering engine”. There’s ultrawide support now, as well as some new graphics options, game balance tweaks, and even a new Very Hard difficulty setting. What’s more exciting is that next year the remaster is getting a brand new Kingdoms Of Amalur expansion. It’s called Fatesworn and, well, there aren’t actually any more details on it at the minute....

I’m honestly surprised it took this long for The Sims to get this sort of career. One of the best parts about the game is designing your own homes (or trying to recreate interesting ones from other games). In fact, the biggest downside I got from playing Werewolves is that the monsters in question feel more fleshed-out than the perhaps less niche occult types in the game. I came to RB: Axolotl because I love and fear axolotls in equal measure. They are extremely cute and interesting but also unholy horrors of evolution that should not be. I stayed because the game had a similar thematic tension: initially it is a cutesy VN about a pink axolotl named Axy, who is trying to show off for the girl axolotl he likes. But then you meet the other axolotls in the tank....

I’m not usually one for strategy games where you’ve got to manage rocks and wood and allocate workers. Wolfamongus, to refresh your memory, is an adventure game based on Bill Willingham’s Fables comic book series. It’s the story of ‘fictional’ characters, mostly from folklore and fairytales, who fled into our reality to escape a civil war. It’s a great comic, and the first game is great too (we declared it 2014’s best adventure game). It focuses on Bigby, the fabled Big Bad Wolf, who’s gone straight and acts as sheriff of the hidden district of New York City where the Fables live (it’d be quite bad if humanity discovered magical beings existed)....
