Of course, Stealth’s main benefit is your opponent not being able to target the minion with either their own minions or spells until Stealth ends. Take advantage of this, and ensure you’re maximising your damage output. Sometimes it’s best to save an attack for later and remain in stealth.

Early game: You have all sorts of powerful early plays to make that’ll spook your opponent out a bit. Spymistress is a 3/1, but is really tough to get rid of thanks to her Stealth. She often leads directly to 3 face damage to your opponent as well as an inconvenient trade for them at the minimum. Followed up by Ashtongue Slayer though, you can really keep tempo on the board, giving her massive attack power and Immune so she won’t take a hit. That’s just one of the many potential early game plays you can pull off. Worgen Infiltrator is obviously a worse version of Spymistress, but its Stealth makes it just as worth playing. Keep playing minions on tempo when possible - Skyvateer and Hench-Clan Sneak all follow on from one another mana-wise so you could always end up with a fantastic amount of hidden minions ready to deal chunky damage. Early on, many control decks will plonk a Taunt or two in your way, so it’s often acceptable to use Sap or Eviscerate on them to ensure your minions can go face. You want to put the enemy under pressure early, so hitting their health total is super vital as soon as possible. Mid game: Get Akama played if you can - you want Akama Prime shuffled into your deck as quickly as possible. Greyheart Sage is a great way to help you refuel a bit if you’ve played all your cards out - just make sure you have a Stealthed minion to trigger this effect. Hooked Scimitar and Waggle Pick should be swung at every opportunity possible too - you want to be directing this damage to the enemy Hero if at all possible. Of course, trading is important. Your Hero’s health is often less vital though, so use your weapons and keep your minions alive whenever possible. Going face is, as always, the most important thing though. Late game: Your highest cost minions are 6 mana, so you’ll want to be ending the game pretty quickly from here. Akama Prime is an outrageously strong minion, giving you 6 attack on board and a permanent Stealth effect, meaning your enemy can’t ever target it. Ideally, you’ve put enough pressure on by this point that your enemy is no longer able to deal with your aggression. Flik Skyshiv is another emergency removal card, along with Sap, and you can always direct the damage from Eviscerate and Burrowing Scorpid to face to finish the enemy off.

Spymistress is your favourite 1-drop. 3 attack is pretty scary early on, and Stealth means it can’t be messed with. 2. If you don’t have Spymistress, then Worgen Infiltrator is a solid choice. Getting Stealth minions on the board is a priority, so this guy isn’t half bad. 3. Ashtongue Slayer will often help you enormously with getting ahead on board, especially when played as a follow-up to one of the aforementioned minions.
Stealth Rogue tips, combos and synergies
Here’s a few combos and interactions to look out for with Stealth Rogue.
- Ashtongue Slayer scales very well later on in the game as well. It’s always usable with Akama Prime, since that minion never loses its Stealth ability, even when it attacks.
- Greyheart Sage is an amazing card - a 3 mana 3/3 that draws you 2 cards. Remember though, you have to control a Stealthed minion for this Battlecry to trigger. The card will be highlighted in yellow if it will work, in case you’re unsure.
- Hooked Scimitar amounts to 8 damage over the course of 2 attacks, ideally to the enemy’s face. Trigger the combo by playing another card on the same turn first - Backstab is a solid candidate given its 0 mana cost.
- Skyvateer is pretty weak at only 1 attack, but buff it with Ashtongue Slayer or Cold Blood and you’ve got a frightening minion with a pretty useful Deathrattle.
- Waggle Pick is best used alongside Battlecry minions, rather than buffed ones, It’ll let you benefit from the likes of Flik Skyshiv and Greyheart Sage again if you manage to pull them back to your hand.
- Don’t forget that Burrowing Scorpid’s Battlecry can target the enemy Hero. It’s only 2 damage, but if you’re looking for that last bit of reach, this can get you over the line.
- You’re weak to AOE effects, so try to finish off the enemy before they can cast spells like Flamestrike and Chaos Nova.
